Kim Boeckman

On Saturday, September 30, 2012, at the annual Catechetical Congress in Oklahoma City, Kim Boeckman received the award for the 2012 Archbishop Paul S. Coakley Religious Educator of the Year.  This is the first time our parish has had the honor of a Religious Educator of the Year.

Kim has been a 6th Grade Catechist for the past nine years. She also completed the certification program for the Youth Faith Formation in 2009. She continues to learn and study the Catholic faith so that she can pass it on to her students.  She is currently enrolled in the Pastoral Ministry program and has been taking classes for the past two years.  She plans, prepares and implements mini-retreats for the 6-8 grade classes. She devotes extra time in preparing for the lessons, as well as working with other catechists in planning and preparing for the classes.  She is very devoted to the students, both in the parish and in the community.

Kim is always available to help out in extra-curricular activities in the religious education and youth ministry programs in many ways, such as leading Jr. High retreats, and in preparing and setting up for special events, as well as helping with clean up afterwards.  She also participates in high events when extra sponsors are required, and generously donates her time as a chaperone when students need to be driven to parish activities, and most often at the last minute.  She has an open and generous heart and a willingness to meet the needs of our students and parish.

Thank you Kim for your service to the children and our parish.
