EUCHARISTIC MINISTER / HOMEBOUND MINISTER

Are appointed by the Pastor and Archbishop. Assist in distributing communion during Mass and take communion to the homebound.

 

 SACRISTAN MINISTRY

Lay people prepare the Church for Mass and assist the priest.

 

LECTOR MINISTRY

Lay people read the first and second readings at Mass.

 

USHER MINISTRY

Lay people act as host/hostesses, assist with the collections, distribute bulletins at the end of Mass and straighten up the church after Mass.

 

SERVER MINISTRY

Youth serve at Mass beginning in fourth grade through Senior in High School. Training is held annually, often in the fall. Servers are placed on the schedule which is printed in the bulletin. Adults may also volunteer to serve.

 

MUSIC MINISTRY

The choir sings for the Easter and Christmas celebrations. Choir practice is held Wednesday evenings, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. from October to May.

 

HISPANIC MINISTRY

Lay people that minister to the Spanish speaking people of the parish.

 

MINISTRY OF PRAISE

Members (sick, handicapped or senior citizens) are commissioned by the priest. They offer their prayers, joys and sufferings to God for the Church and those in our parish. Meet on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning with Mass at 12:05 p.m., followed by a covered dish luncheon. There are no dues. All they ask is your prayers.

 

ROSARY MINISTRY

People meet at the Church to pray the Rosary on Thursdays 11:30 a.m.



PRAYER CHAIN

Those committed to faithfully pray for the intentions of our parish.

 

PARISH COUNCIL

Representatives of the parish. Watch bulletin for meeting dates. Elections are held in April. Offices are for a three year term.

 

DINNER FOR EIGHT

A group of adults who join together for fellowship once per month in a four month cycle. Hostess duties rotate and everyone brings a dish for the shared meal. 

 

YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY

A group of young adults, ages 18-39, who join together for fellowship once per month on the third Saturday of each month, 6 to 8:30 p.m.  Check out their blog at http://youngadultsinnwok.blogspot.com

MAINTENANCE MINISTRY

Lay People volunteer with general maintenance on the parish grounds.

There is Rosary every Thursdays at 11:30 am at St. Peter Church for special intentions.
